Bad transfer business
Got us on the cheap? What do you base that statement on? That got us at fair market value, and the club was so heavily leveraged that we were lucky anyone took us on. I think they're here because they saw a challenge to eventually make money, but you at as if wanting to turn a profit and loving a club are somehow mutually exclusive. That's completely absurd. People who only want money do what H did while FSG take the path of building partnerships and wiping away all outstanding debt. The path they are taking will NOT "line their pockets" anytime in the medium term, considering the spent over 400m of their own money so far. LFC make about 175m a year in profit with about 60% going to player wages, probably 20% to staff, and a good percentage of the remainder going to travel, physical plant, and the rest. At this point the club is no more a "viable" option than it was when they arrived, but it's a heck of a lot more financially stable.
You are basing your grim assessment on nothing more than childish disappointment that they haven't done exactly what you wanted them to do. But you haven't a clue about what they've contended with because you're a lazy supporter. They have made plenty of mistakes, and drawn just criticism, but action during a transfer window is sometimes as much about addressing previous mistakes (last summer being a perfect example) as it about the deals you make. We've had to balance both because if we don't, if we just pay whatever is asked, next window we'll just find ourselves put over the barrel again. So we miss out on appealing targets today, but we establish ourselves as hardnosed negotiators in the future. Again, canada goose expedition parka, that's what a responsible organization should do.
Somehow I don't think we will be seen as hard nosed negotiators. If we had held on to Andy until we secured a deal for another striker then we would have been dealing from a stronger position, but now we are looking like idiots with less strike options than we had the day before and no money to make a realistic offer for a player that was practically begging to play for the club. The price Tottenham bought him for wasn't even excessive. In the next transfer market its more likely we will have to wait for people to stop laughing before we can make a serious offer, than it is that they will see us a shrewd negotiators. Well done FSG way to balance the books.!

I am sitting here, shocked and stunned by tonight's developments, or should I say lack thereof.
In recent weeks, owners have said we can compete with anyone. What a crock of sht !! I fear for the future of the few star players we do have who now know this just isn't true.
The sanctioning of the Carroll deal, without a nailed on back up, is simply madness and borders on the completely arrogant belief that the pull and history of LFC would be enough to win those last minute deals.
We've been found out and I wonder just how BR is feeling having to take us through a busy season with a squad as light in firepower as I can ever recall. Kuyt, Maxi, Bellamy, Carroll out, moncler coats outlet, Borini, an unknown winger and a kid for the future in.
Shafted I expect but he hasn't helped himself by making statements that will be thrown back in his face should we struggle to show progress and compete this season.
I hate posting negative comments about the team I've supported for 40 years and always try to look at thing in terms of a 'glass half full' but unless a couple of rabbits are pulled out of the proverbial hat in the next half an hour or so, I'll feel utterly deflated this weekend and for some time to come.
